Bits and pieces of MY LIFE

OK, Ladies and Gentlemen, so here goes the stereotypical speech for Oscar Winners…

Ahem… Lights PLS… Good, All Sound systems ok???? Great… Now I would like to thank my parents and my family members for giving me a FANTASTIC BDAY CAKE and also a FABULOUSLY SCRUMPTUOS DINNER…

Also special thanks go to people who messaged me at the strike of 12 (CAT etc)… And also 2 very special gals who IM me right on the mark as well (YL, GL)… oooppps… One more… Eevon… Almost forgotten !!!!

And also to Lai for giving me free lunch (Muakakaka, this is what I like about Bdays… Free Food!!!) And also Reborn for calling me… (Haih… Long time nvr talk to her liao, so nvr expected it) And also the rest of the gang who wished me Happy Bday… esp those who sent me testimonials (some of them are lost, for God knows what reason, I approved them HONESTLY), and Mann Ern (who proposed a very lame excuse of not having my Malaysian number and therefore wishing me late O.o”) and Jing Yi as well (all the way from Sabah, this is the part where the Oscar winner starts crying T_T), and Loo who gave me a msg directly before the clock striked 12 to 27th Sept.

One more gal, Mei May… He he… how can i forget you for sending me the wonderful e-card!!!

Some people worth mentioning are the Frenz in Asiatic Development Berhad… Haih… Sorry ar, nx time I shud come at lunch time, then you all can treat me to lunch… (The Oscar Winner is almost at a lost for words now… Gulps…)

OK, this last one is really special (at least to me, must save the best for the last), AL… Thank you… *Muacks* (Calling me at midnite… rite on time as usual… Nvr let me down la u)

Hehe… Thank you everyone… The curtains begin to draw… The Oscar Winner has to leave and go attend to interviews and reporters now… Sorry if I were to leave out anyone else…

Ok, to all of you dog lovers out there, a week ago, my dog, Lucky (Who happens to be a very…. very…. very…. senior citizen) was diagnosed with cervical cancer… (Why am I not surprised? =.=”) Her stomach bulged out, and she hadn’t had meals for days, she looks haggard. In short, nothing good can be said about her condition (Not sure bout her still having stamina to chase the postman or not thought, sis, you enlighten me?) . Before that, she hadn’t been feeling well for quite some time, so my parents brought her to the vet.

X-ray shows that there is this large tumor in her cervix, which is not a pretty sight I can assure you. So… The vet gave a conclusion that she needs to undergo a major surgery (administered with general anaesthesia) and at her age, undergoing such major surgery would be equivalent to taking a very high risk. (Goodbye to kawaii, furry, fluffy doggy… *sobs* T_T)

But nevertheless, we thought that it would still be best for her to undergo the surgery, coz even if she don’t, she’ll still end up dying from cancer. (Which is even worse I suppose, NO ?) Alas… she SURVIVED!!! O.o” So now, she is up, alive and kicking hard…

After this experience, I feel really sorry for that old lady… Haih… After all, she did play a part in saving my life once… Maybe I should treat her better when I go back to KL? (eg. Not using dog food to taunt her and make her do circus trick, Not disturb her afternoon slumber by blasting the TV, Not to pull her ears, tail, limbs etc when she is sleeping, Not to pinch her muzzle when she annoys me, Not kicking her once in awhile when I feel like it… )

*OK the last part about kicking her was a joke gals, don’t flame me for it!!!* Anyways, do feel slightly happier to see her kicking again… Dun wanna go home and see her in her grave… *sobs sobs*

Aaaahhh… Good old Rene Descarte (1596-1650), Philospher of the Mind, Father of the Cartesian Coordinates, Rather impressive good looks ( Ahem…this is a subjective point of view… do not flame me ), and most IMPORTANTLY, HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RUINING MY WEEKEND… =.="

Ok, so here’s the deal… I am suppose to read the whole chunk of text on Descarte’s arguments about mind, god, brain, illusions, evil geniuses etc… and then try to swallow it, digest it, process it as well as possible, and then reorganize it, pick a single contradiction or puzzle in his arguments, and make a big Fuss about it By writing a 1000 words length Academic Essay ( Not just any essay, it’s Academic Essay… which are used by scientists and philosophers to publish journals on their thesis O.o")

Ok, so you may think that’s no big deal, right? Then have a look at what His Text look like http://www.iep.utm.edu/d/descarte.htm . I can see my weekend going up in smokes already… Seriously, I’ll be pondering about things like:

(1) What is Mind?

(2) What is Self?

(3) What is the Truth if all things around us are False?

(4) So there is a God, and he is not the deceiver, Then who is?

(5) WTF is wrong with Descarte, is he a psycho or something?

Haih… Gone case, man… 1000 length essay on something that is a contradiction, and the worse part is, I MUST POINT OUT SOMETHING THAT THE PROF DID NOT NOTICE IN THE TEXT!!! HE HAD BEEN TEACHING THAT MATERIAL FOR YEARS… HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO GET AWAY WITH THAT???!!!

Maybe I should use the other texts… which are Plato’s, Socrates’ and Churchland’s ( WTF? All of them are philosophers? >.< ) Goodbye Friday… Sayonara Saturday… And Ta ta to Sunday… T_T
